Who we are
Pachamama, Mother Earth in the Aymara language, native to South America.
I’m Jessica Bascuñán, proud Aymaran and creator of Pachamama Eco Skin Care, a local business located in Collingwood, Golden Bay, dedicated to the artisanal creation of an exclusive range of skincare and beauty products that not only enhance your natural beauty but also contribute to a healthier planet. I offer them for sale at local fairs in Golden Bay.
I had been making my own cosmetics for 9 years, and when I moved to Collingwood in Golden Bay, I felt it was the perfect time to share my products with the world. I believe in my quality range of cosmetics and would like to give you the opportunity to experience the finest, small batch, locally made eco-friendly Pachamama cosmetics too.
I established Pachamama Eco Skin Care 4 years ago, in Golden Bay. With a background in Chemistry and lab technologies and my husband’s bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Pachamama Eco Skin Care is not just me; it involves my whole family! Jorge with his brilliant ideas, sciences knowledge
and botanical technical support and our son, with all the purity of a 5-year-old, drew what would be our first logo and now 6 years on, he is still supporting us with our promotional material.
At Pachamama Eco Skin Care, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We are passionate about minimizing our environmental footprint and our commitment to green practices extends from raw material sourcing to packaging. I carefully select renewable and biodegradable ingredients to create products that contain macerations of flowers, herbs and seeds, grown by us or locally, giving each product an unmistakable stamp that only Pachamama can give. And that they are as gentle on the Earth as they are on your skin and hair.
Pachamama, is an Aymaran word. The Aymara are an ethnic group that lives in the Andes Mountain Range and is deeply connected to Mother Nature. Pachamama Eco Skin Care is inspired by this concept, recognizing in it a fundamental part of the spirit with which each product is made.
Mission
At Pachamama Eco Skin Care, we create Eco Friendly cosmetics. We are using locally sourced plants and natural and/or organic ingredients as this is key to our process. Promoting self-care, wellbeing with heart, and sustainability.
